The one major issue with practicing stickhandling and shooting off-ice is that there is very little movement. Stickhandling off the ice will still help improve your game, but wouldn't it be nice if you could recreate the feeling of skating while stickhandling?
That is the exact reason why I decided to try using a slideboard with a roll-up shooting pad. The result was great so I thought I would share a video sharing some drills you can do, and how they look with a shooting pad / slide board combo.
