The HockeyShot Roll-Up Shooting Pads are the largest on the market, and great for working on puck control and shooting. Use the extra size to practice wide-angle toe-drags, double moves and whatever else you can think of to build your skills. You can also use them to work on your passing, either with a partner (they're big enough) or by attaching a self-passer.

Q: I've tried a few different ways to flatten my shooting pad (rested upside down, put heavy objects on the corners), however it is still curled at the ends and also wavy down the sides. Any secrets you can send me to help me out. Right now it's even difficult to leave outside as a slight breeze causes the pad to curl up.

A: We recommend leaving the Shooting Pad with the ends curling down, not up. You can place objects on it or a rug overtop to help flatten out, but that is not necessary. The longer the Shooting Pad has been rolled up, the longer it will take to lay flat. There will always be a slight wave on the sides as the plastic is malleable in order to roll. This won't impact the use at all! If you plan to leave it outside, please cover when not in use to protect from the elements.

Q: How long does it take for the Roll-up Shooting Pad to flatten out?
HockeyShot
09/16/20
A: We recommend laying the Shooting Pad with the ends curling down. It should not take more than 20-30 minutes for the Shooting Pad to become perfectly flat. You can place heavy objects on the corners of the Shooting Pad to speed up the process. As a general rule, the longer it has been rolled up, the longer it will take to flatten out.

Q: Can I add anything to help pucks slide better on the shooting pads?
HockeyShot
09/16/20
A: Yes, Extreme Glide Polish may be used to help the puck slide better on the Shooting Pads. The Polish may be useful for regular 6 oz. pucks, but we do not recommend adding it for the Green Biscuit or FlyPuck. Be aware when adding the Polish to Shooting Pads, as the surface becomes very slippery and there is a danger of falling or getting injured.

Q: Why is a Shooting Pad better than a piece of plexiglas from my local hardware store?
HockeyShot
09/16/20
A: Our Shooting Pads are made from a special plastic formula similar to Synthetic Ice. The formula we use has been specifically designed for optimal off-ice hockey shooting and stickhandling practice. The materials we use are much better than cheap puck board or Plexiglas. Shooting Pads are UV protected, waterproof/weatherproof, and extremely durable.
