THE BEGINNING
HockeyShot, known then as Skillmaster Shooting Range Inc., is founded in Dieppe, New Brunswick by father & son, Paul and J.P. Brun. Their drive and passion for hockey development is still present in the business today

HockeyShot started 25 years ago where its products can still be found today: in the basement, garage & driveway
Paul Brun, a father with an engineering background and his son JP, a high school student at the time, always envisioned innovating the best products by pushing boundaries and capturing the attention of as many hockey players as possible.
HockeyShot.com has been selling hockey training aids online since 2007, when business really started to take shape. Over the next few years, the company’s fast ascension lead them to become pioneers and leaders in the industry.
Players from all around the world started using HockeyShot products, including over 100 NHL players and many professional teams. Soon enough, top hockey ambassadors and social influencers joined the HockeyShot team to train and grow the game of hockey together.
1997
GETTING ONLINE
HockeyShot goes online for the first time with the launch of the HockeyShot.com website. Focused on providing training content to hockey players and coaches, the site looked VERY different than it does today!
2006
E-COMMERCE OPENS
HockeyShot.com expands its website to start offering products for sale, like the Hockey Power Builder. Our humble e-commerce beginnings started here, we offered a small selection of training products but were still focused primarily on training content.
2012
THE HOCKEYSHOT LINEUP
HockeyShot releases its first full line of training aids. Developed entirely in-house, this triggered a shift in the company's focus to the development of exclusive new training aids and continuous innovation.
2014
SYNTHETIC ICE
HockeyShot begins to manufacture our own synthetic ice panels, officially entering the market with an exclusive design and formulation that would have a great impact on the hockey flooring market.
2017
PRO PARTNERS & A NEW ADDITION
HockeyShot expands their partnerships into joint projects with professional hockey teams; including the Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings. At the same time, HockeyShot changes the synthetic ice game again, with the release of the bestselling HockeyShot Revolution Synthetic Ice Tiles.
2018
THE HOCKEY HUB
HockeyShot opens the HockeyShot Performance Lab and Studio outside of Toronto, Ontario. This new facility serves as the new brand headquarters, as well as a destination point for pros, partners and players to come test out products, see the latest HockeyShot innovations and see how new products are developed.
2020
THE EVOLUTION CONTINUES
The HockeyShot brand evolves again with the launch of a new website, focused on getting the right training aids into each player's hands and supporting them with endless training content. HockeyShot launches the Training Academy, offering Training Programs for all skill types, delivered right to player's emails.
